GREENBUSH Leland (Lee) Parker, age 79, passed away Thursday, June 7, at home following a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Ileen (Erbe) Parker of 55 years, his son Bryan Parker, his daughter Karen (Parker) Goike and two grandsons, Mathew and Cole. He was born on April 2, 1933 in Lexington, Michigan to Emery and Mary (Roe) Parker. He married Ileen Erbe July 7, 1956. Leland served in the army during the Korean War. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona. He retired from General Motors after 31 years of service. Lee and Ileen moved to Greenbush to enjoy retirement in the home they built on Lake Huron. Leland was an active member of the Tawas Area Presbyterian Church. He served as an elder for numerous years and helped oversee the building of the new church and more recent expansion. He found pleasure in snowmobiling with friends and family, had a passion for classic cars and enjoyed maintaining and driving his 1964 Chevy Impala. In his honor, memorial contributions may be made to the Tawas Area Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, June 11 at the Tawas Area Presbyterian Church. Friends may call at the Church from 10 to 11 A.M. Monday. Arrangements are by the Pomeroy Funeral Home, Croswell.
