CARSONVILLE- Edith L. Heger, age 99, a resident of Carsonville passed away on Saturday July 14, 2012 at Autumnwood of Deckerville.

She was born on April 20, 1913 in Coleman, Michigan a daughter of the late Fred and Retta (Abby) Hollenbeck. Edith married Peter Heger on April 7, 1946 in Royal Oak. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1990.

Edith was a member of the Ladies Auxillary Port Sanilac VFW Post #8872 for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family.

She is survived by her daughter Donna and Wayne Smith of Brown City. 3 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Edith was preceded in death by three brothers Dan Hollenbeck, Alfred Hollenbeck and Leonard Hollenbeck and two sisters Erma Klinel and Florence Mow.

Visitation will be from 4-8 on Tuesday at the Pomeroy Funeral Home in Carsonville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home with visiting from 10-11. Rev. Ellen Burns of the Port Sanilac United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Port Sanilac Cemetery
