LEXINGTON: John V. Mullaney, 81, of Lexington, died Sunday, July 15, 2012 in his home.

He was born May 4, 1931 in Yale, son of the late Frank and Anna (McGrotton) Mullaney. He married Kathryn C. Kelly on April 23, 1957 in Mt. Pleasant. She died July 22, 2007.

John was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a State Farm Insurance agent in Madison Heights from 1967 to 1994. He was a member of the Port Huron Lions Club.

Surviving are sons Brian (Carol) of Clarkston and James (Debbie) of Perryville, KY; daughters Kathleen Mullaney of Breckenridge, CO. and Maureen (Andy) Myers of Greenville; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Sunday August, 26, 2012 at the Knights of Columbus Hall #7255 in Lexington.
