Florence Kredell

Florence (Flora) Kredell, known to friends and family as “Flo”, went to be with the Lord on Saturday September 15, 2018 at the age of 87 years. Flo was lovingly cared for by the entire staff of Stonegate Village in Sandusky, MI and touched the lives of all that had the pleasure of knowing her. Flo was Born in Detroit, Michigan on April 24, 1931 to Anna (Langone) Menzo and Nicholas Menzo and was one of nine children. She was lovingly known for her sense of humor, delicious cooking, and hospitality. You knew you were loved right away with one taste of her famous pasta sauce or lasagna. She knew how to make people feel welcome and important. If you ate at Bea’s Diner in Lexington or Croswell, you were probably honored to eat one of her famous breakfasts. Flo worked at Bea’s for many years where she spread her joy with many friends and strangers alike. Flo also enjoyed bowling and was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Lexington, MI Flo married Robert Kredell in 1954 and raised 3 children; David (Janine) Kredell of Queen Creek, AZ, Ann (Mark) Davidson of Applegate, MI and Robin (Randy) Kerszykowski of Gainesville, Fl. She also had 6 wonderful grandchildren; Gregory (Pamela) Kredell and Nicholas Kredell, Emily and Riley Davidson, Kolton and Madelyn Kerszykowski. Along with 3 great grandchildren; Caleb, Carter and Ella Kredell, all of whom she loved very much. Preceding her in death are her parents, Anna and Nicholas Menzo; brothers Tony Menzo, Rocco Menzo, John Menzo, Nick Menzo, Lawrence Menzo, Bill Menzo, sister Mary Menzo and grandson Nicholas Kredell. Surviving is her brother, Phillip Menzo The family would like to thank each member of “Flo’s team” at Stonegate Village Assisted Living in Sandusky, MI. The love, care and friendships that our mother received was priceless. We would also like to thank Residential Hospice for the loving support and care shown to our mother, Flo Funeral services will be held at Pomeroy Funeral Home in Lexington, MI at 11:00 am Saturday, September 22, 2018. Burial following at Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday September 21, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Pomeroy Funeral Home in Lexington, MI. Memorials may be made to Stonegate Village Assisted Living, Residential Hospice or Ave Maria Parish. Isaiah 41:10, 13 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand … For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”
