It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Irene, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, who left us on July 23, 2024 at the age of 76. Born on March 8, 1948, she was a beacon of kindness, love and compassion, whose greatest joy in life was her family. Irene dedicated her life to her loved ones, always placing their happiness and well-being above her own. Her heart was vast, filled with an unconditional love that she freely shared with everyone she knew. She had a special gift for making everyone feel valued and cherished and her warmth and generosity were unmatched. Her happiest moments were those spent with her family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Whether it was a simple family dinner, a holiday celebration or just a quiet afternoon at home, Irene made every moment special with her presence. She leaves behind her loving husband, Micah; her cherished children, Ronald (Marlene) Raetz, Timothy, Micah (Penny), Ricky, Wendy(Chris); and her adored grandchildren, Johnny, Angel, Leland, Brady, Jolene, Charlene, Ron, Emily, Courtney and Cody; and 18 great grandchildren; her brother Daniel (June) McCombs. She will also be dearly missed by her extended family and many friends who were touched by her kindness and generosity. Irene was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Patricia , her grandson, Wayne and her granddaughter, Brooke. Though we mourn her passing, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she loved. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire and guide us. A celebration of Irene’s life will be held on Saturday July 27 at her family’s home, starting at 2 P.M. in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization dear to her heart.
