Larry Thomas Muse

CROSWELL- Larry Thomas Muse, age 81, passed away on November 25, 2024 in Croswell, Michigan. Born on January 21, 1943, Larry dedicated his life to his family, his community and his country. He married Nina Ann (Morse) Muse on February 3, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan. After 56 years of marriage he passed away one day after her funeral. Larry is survived by his children, Brenda Muse, Lisa (Karl) Hanzinger, David (Theresa) Muse, Veta (Pat) Huelsmann and Daniel (Gina) Muse. He was proud grandfather to Cheryl Sickman, Natoshia (Aaron) Lunney, Jordan Heinrich, Michael Muse, Amanda Grace Paige, Dalton Hanzinger, Jennifer Muse, Joshua Muse and Annabelle Muse, and a great grandfather to Saphira Lunney, Naomi Lunney, Ellianna Page, Nora Page and Maverick Page. He also has many loving brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nina Ann Muse, his brother, Jimmy Muse, several other brothers and sisters and his children, Jimmy Lester Muse, Sherri Lynn Sickman and David Allen Sickman. Larry was educated at Northwest High School in Whitfield County, Georgia. He furthered his education at St. Clair County Community College. A proud veteran, Larry served in the United States Marine Corps, embodying the core values of honor, courage and commitment. His dedication to service continued in his civilian life, where he worked at Ford Motor Company in the Claims Department and founded Muse Security Services. Larry was deeply involved in his religious community, serving as an Adult Fellowship Leader at the Community Baptist Church in Croswell and Pastor of another local church. Larry’s hobbies were as diverse as his commitments. He enjoyed sending morning devotions to loved ones, oil painting, drawing, hunting, riding horses, traveling, listening to music and writing songs and poetry. His love of history was evident in his extensive knowledge and the stories he shared. Larry was a man of deep faith and community spirit, always ready to lend a hand or an ear to those in need.. His legacy of love, prayer and dedication to others will live on through his family, friends and all who had the priviledge to know him. A memorial service honoring Larry’s life will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the Assembly of God Church at 101 W. Sanborn Ave., Croswell, Michigan. Visitation and memorial service will be held from 12 Noon- 4 P.M., inurnment will be in the Washington Cemetery in Carsonville. Larry will be remembered for his deep faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the lasting impact his ministry made on everyone he encountered. He will be greatly missed.
