Mary Ann Vallee

CROSWELL- Mary Ann Vallee, age 89, a resident of Croswell passed away at her residence surrounded by her family on Friday, October 4, 2024. She was born on February 17, 1935 in Detroit a daughter of the late Augusta and Elizabeth (Schusler) Schimanski. Mary Ann married Robert A. Vallee on January 22, 1955 in Detroit. He preceded her in death on February 4, 2007. Mary Ann attended the St. Clair Community College where she earned a degree as a Registered Nurse. She was a strong woman committed to her Catholic faith, and lived each day of her life embodying the teachings of the church and what it meant to be a virtuous woman. She was a dedicated and devoted member of the former St. Patricks Catholic Church in Croswell and a current member of the Ave Maria Parish- St. Denis Catholic Church in Lexington. She enjoyed traveling and taking trips in the motor home with her husband, Robert. Mary Ann loved animals especially her dogs. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and nurse to the many people she had the priviledge of caring for. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Mary Ann is survived by her four children, Ronald (Dee) Vallee of Chesterfield, Linda (Tom ) Galbraith of Lexington, Dave (Cathy) Vallee of Croswell and Dan (Patty) Vallee of Applegate; two daughter-in-laws, Sue Vallee of Croswell and Denise Vallee of Croswell; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Vallee, her son Robert E. Vallee and her great grandson, Gideon Alexander Vallee. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday at the Ave Maria Parish-St. Denis Catholic Church in Lexington. Rosary Devotions will be held at 9:30 A.M. Thursday morning and will be led by her friend, Margaret West. Visitation will follow from 10-11 A.M. with the funeral mass starting at 11 A.M., Fr. Bala Madanu will officiate and Fr. Donad J. Eppenbrock will concelebrate the mass. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Catholic Cemetery in Croswell. Pallbearers will be Ryan Vallee, Christopher Vallee, Jason Galbraith, Brian Vallee, Matthew Vallee and James Vallee.
