Robert W. Pouliot

LEXINGTON- Robert Pouliot, age 91, of Lexington, Michigan passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19th, in Port Huron, Michigan. Robert was born in Detroit, Michigan in March 1932 to the late Willis and Lillian Pouliot. Bob leaves a legacy of love of family, friends and nature. A devoted Christian and member of the Lutheran faith, Bob served his country with honor during the Korean War and dedicated 40 years to Chrysler as a skilled tool engineer. Bob found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in the great outdoors, which he shared eagerly with his children and friends. An avid fisherman, hunter, and camper, he nurtured his love for nature through flower and vegetable gardening, which brought him much joy. His gentle spirit, quick wit, and infectious smile endeared him to all who knew him. Bob's love for his family and friends knew no bounds. Bob loved to dance the night away with his partner in life, Gayle, and serenade her and the kids with his favorite songs. His presence brought warmth and laughter to every gathering. While he may no longer be with us, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched. Robert is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gayle Pouliot, and his children, Robin (John) Peters, Steven (Linda) Pouliot, Susan (Wade) Warner/Adams, Cheryl (Bill) Mara, and preceded in death by daughter, Darci Lynn Pouliot. Grandchildren: Gabrielle (Daniel) Jones, Jesse Peters, Noah (Dee) Peters, Sarah-Gayle Peters, Becca (Dayln) Owens, Alex (Kelsey)Warner, Cory (Natasha) Warner, Faith Warner, Alyssa (Kyle) Pouliot, Andrew Pouliot, Joslyn Mara and Cody Mara and 7 great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his brothers Roy (Joan) Pouliot, and Ronald Pouliot, and his daughter Darci Pouliot. Visitation for Robert will be Tuesday, April 2nd from 2-8 P.M. at the Pomeroy Funeral Home in Lexington. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd at 11 A.M. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Lexington, with visiting at the church from 10- 11 A.M., Pastor Christopher Jung will officiate. Military Honors will follow the church service and will be provided by the Croswell American Legion. A luncheon will immediately follow in the church hall.
