Charles "Chas" B. Hurn, IV

September 22, 1994 - February 21, 2022

Charles “Chas” Bailey Hurn, IV, age 27, of Clearwater, FL passed away suddenly and peacefully February 21, 2022. Chas was a former resident of Sandusky, MI and graduated from Sandusky High School in 2013. He was born in Garden City, MI on September 22, 1994 to Charles and Laura (Chirpka) Hurn. Chas became a big brother to Cody when he was 2 ½ years old and remained close until the end. He loved playing basketball, being with family and friends, loved animals, drawing and doing tattoos. Chas was also a fan of Superman, and like Superman, he was up for any and every adventure and challenge. He was very hardworking and always pushed himself to do the best he could no matter the situation. Chas will always be remembered and loved by his mother, Laura Hurn of Bay City, MI; his father, Charles (Danielle) Hurn, III of Sandusky, MI; his brother, Cody Hurn of Bay City, MI; his grandmother, Eleanor Hurn of Goodyear, AZ; aunts and uncles, Kenneth (Amy) Chirpka of Clifton Park, NY, Chris (Jennifer) Chirpka of Canton, MI, Susan Patterson of Conklin, NY, Sandy (David) Denoble of Modesto, CA, Mike (Debbie) Hurn of Deckerville, MI Sherry (Dan) Marsack of Port Sanilac, MI, Tom (Lisa) Brown of Goodyear, AZ, Steve (Kim) Brown of Tuscon, AZ, Monica Zacharski of Phoenix, AZ, and Su Degreef of Morgantown, GA. He is also remembered by many cousins and their families, friends of the family, and many close friends. Chas was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Hurn, II, his grandparents, Carole and Kenneth Chirpka, his uncle Bobby Hurn, his aunt, Donna Hurn, his cousin, Paul Taylor, and his black lab, Maxwell. Chas will be cremated in Florida and re-veiled in Michigan to have his ashes be blessed by a Catholic Priest at St. Stanislaus Church. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2 from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. at thePomeroy Funeral Home in Carsonville, with a service being held at 11 A.M. Saturday morning at the funeral home. “Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen”
