Jeannette Olesnavage

Jeannette Olesnage, age 95, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 in St. Ann’s Residential Care Facility, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was born December 9, 1923, in Redford, and raised in Birmingham, Michigan to Felix and Georgina Charlier. Married for 68 years, she and her husband, Joseph, (deceased in 2013), spent many years in the Carsonville/ Lexington area. She is survived by her siblings, Betty, Felix, and Don and many nieces and nephews, as well as her seven children, John (Margaret), Margie (Tom Vogel), Joseph (Susan), Mark (Judy), Paul, Mary Ann (John Cary), and James (Terri). Just four days shy of her 96th birthday when she died, she left a proud legacy of 18 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and one Great-Great Grandchild. A life-long Catholic, Jeannette will be remembered for her baking, knitting, artwork, gardening and dedication to her Church. She leaves a legacy of love and faithful service. Jeannette’s family is very appreciative of the love and care provide by the sisters and staff of St. Ann’s. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday at the St. Denis Catholic Church in Lexington, with visiting at the church from 10-11 A.M. Monday morning. Fr. Donald J. Eppenbrock will officiate. Burial will be in the Old St. Marys Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5:30 on Sunday at the Pomeroy Funeral Home in Lexington. Rosary Devotions will be held at 4 P.M. Sunday afternoon. In keeping with her wishes, donations in her memory should be made to St. Ann’s Residential Care facility.
