Kurt Jay Wixson

CROSWELL- Kurt J. Wixson, age 60, died very unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at his home. He was born on July 31, 1959 in Port Huron, Michigan, a son of the late Treasure and John Wixson. Kurt married Deborah M. Zimmerman on September 25, 1981 in Sandusky. Kurt was a heavy equipment operator for Waste Management. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed playing baseball. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Wixson of Croswell; son, Robert Wixson of Croswell; four grandchildren, Tylor, Jasmin, Robert Jr. and Willow; one brother, Eric Oles and four sisters, Judy Okelberry, Pam Wixson, Joyce Pita and Cheryl Wixson. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Treasure Wixson and two brothers, James Wixson and Jerald Wixson. Inurnment will be in the Croswell Cemetery, with a graveside committal service that will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, October 25, 2019 at the grave. Fr. Robert Schikora of St. Josephs Catholic Church in Sandusky will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Neurology Department at Henry Ford Hospital.
