LEXINGTON- Leo Donald Mack , age 91, a resident of Lexington was born on October 20, 1929 in Detroit to the late Leo Sr. and Emma Mack. Leo died peacefully at home on April 6, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his 3 sons, Russell (wife Shirley), Robert (Barb), Doug (Denyse); brother, Harold Mack of Indiana; daughter-in-law, Christine. Grandchildren, Branden (Stephanie), Russell Jr., (Jacqueline) Justin, Arden,Nyles, Logan, Emily, Rachel, Ryan, Michael, Korie, Kelsea and Julie; great granddaughters, Avery and Neah; special friends, Larry Zimanski and Jimmy Digiovanni, to name a few. Preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte E. Mack on November 14, 2010 and one son, Donald Mack on May 14, 2005. Leo married Charlotte Ritter in 1949 and together they owned The Ole Tap Room in Detroit, Leo was a man of all trades, well known in the masonry industry, he worked as a Mason Contractor in the 50’s before becoming a brick salesman for Mercer Brick, who was later bought out by HayCon Brick and Block Co. Leo went on to selling Spectra Glaze Block at United Glaze Products, to retire as Midwest Sales Manager. Leo and Charlotte loved traveling in their motor home, around the country, even Alaska for 2 months, here in Michigan many summers were spent in Caseville during Margaritaville. Always so happy to receive visits and would greet you with a warm welcome and smile. His family and friends were always welcomed to stop by and he would welcome them and make everyone feel at home, they would turn out to be family in the long run and call him Granpa. He loved his family gatherings, bird feeders, flower gardens or just staring at the lake and watching the freighters and sailboats go by. Leo always had the best stories to tell, about his life growing up, work friends he made along the way, and the love of his wife, Charlotte. Now Leo’s stories won’t end. His family and friends won’t let this happen, we will always leave a place setting for you and now we will be telling your stories, even making them better, it’s what we all learned from you, Thank You for loving us all Leo, you will be sadly missed! A memorial celebration will be held on July 24, 2021 at his home on the lake. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements were by the Pomeroy Funeral Home in Lexington.
