Okey D. Newton, age 78, of Croswell, died Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in Jeddo. He was born July 8, 1941 in Port Huron, son of the late Okey and Adele (Schlicht) Newton. He and his wife Jenina were married on June 22, 1993 in Sandusky. She died June 8, 1996. Okey was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving are a sister Barbara Steele and a brother Paul (Diane) Newton and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters Lois Carol Bartley and Selma Lago. A memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, January 3, 2020 in the Pomeroy Funeral Home, Croswell. The Rev. Linda Fuller will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Croswell Cemetery. Visiting will be from 12 Noon to 1 P.M. Friday.
