Rachel L. Pudney

Rachel L. Pudney, age 93, died Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Medilodge of Hillman. She was born August 5, 1924 in Croswell, daughter of the late William and Norma (Morris) Kemp. She and Arnold H. Pudney were married October 7, 1944 in Croswell. He died December 20, 2011. Rachel lived her entire life in Croswell, MI. Daughter of a farmer, wife of a farmer, she was proud to be part of this farming community. Her table was always plentiful with yummy foods from her garden and pantry. Family and neighbors were always welcome. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and sharing stories of the past. She truly loved the country life. Surviving are her son and daughter in law Jack and Bernice of Atlanta; brother William (Carol) Kemp of Croswell; sister Dorothy Jean Smith of Marysville; two grandchildren Sean (Catherine) Pudney and Jaclyn (Brian) Benac; 5 great grandchildren Jordan, Taylor and Colton Benac, and Greyson and Paxton Pudney. She was preceded in death by a sister Catherine Cornwell. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday, October 10 in the Pomeroy Funeral Home, Croswell. High Priest Kyle Burgess, Community of Christ Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Croswell Cemetery. Friends may visit from 3 to 9 P.M. Monday and 9 to 10 A.M. Tuesday.
