William J. Lentz

William John Lentz, age 77, of Applegate, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021. He was born April 26, 1943 in Detroit, son of the late Frances LaVerne and Frances (Kirk) Lentz. Bill married Carole Ann Mendenhall in 1966. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines. Bill was a retired Police Officer Lieutenant for the City of Grosse Pointe Woods, where he also helped fire and rescue. He was a farmer in Sanilac Twp. for many years as well. Bill was a great husband, he enjoyed farming, flying model airplanes, restoring old farm equipment, watching movies, and playing music. He is survived by his loving wife, Carole; a half-sister, Elizabeth Nelson, as well as many cousins and friends.
